Hey, I’m Liz Powers Wells, MFTA, (Any/All)

I’ve been lucky to live, travel, and study in different parts of the world, and those experiences taught me to see life through many different lenses.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me wandering in the rain on a long fall or winter walk, cooking up a new recipe to share with friends, or relaxing by the river with a good sci-fi or fantasy novel in the summer. At home, I love spending time with my two elderly chihuahuas, who are just as quirky and charming as you’d expect.

I believe therapy is more than just individual healing—it’s a chance to plant seeds that grow into stronger communities and healthier future generations.

I like to imagine a world where everyone feels like they belong, especially those who are often left out or misunderstood by the systems we live in. Neurodivergent and disabled folks deserve care that fully sees and celebrates them, and my work is about making that a reality.

With over 15 years of experience working with children, families, and individuals, I’ve seen how anxiety and depression can develop when needs aren’t supported. My approach focuses on breaking these cycles by exploring how our relationships and the stories we tell ourselves shape our lives.

Like many of the people I work with, I’ve also needed something a little different from therapy. That’s why I bring a neurodiversity-affirming, collaborative, and flexible style to every session—meeting you exactly where you are, with compassion and care, and tailoring our work to your unique needs.
