Virtually in Oregon
My cat Mushi is my one true love and will likely grace us with her presence during sessions.
My favorite hobbies include cross stitching, pinball, and watching true crime.
I am late-diagnosed neurodivergent and came out as queer on the same timeline. I'm a firm believer that we don't have to do anything on another person's timeline.
My biggest passion is supporting people in finding safety and security in the truest versions of themselves.
I strive to create a space for neurodivergent folks to shed the expectations of the world and just be themselves. Masks can be left at the door (and if you don't know how to do that, we can talk about that too).
Hey, I’m Abi Pyle, MSW, CSWA, (She/They)
I specialize in trauma healing, autism, other neurodivergence, and LGBTQIA+ experiences. As a neurodivergent and queer identifying person myself, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to live in this world when it feels like it’s not built for you. Sensations of burnout, loneliness, anxiety, and more can be incredibly overwhelming. I am here to help lighten that load.
In sessions, I blend a combination of therapeutic approaches such as narrative therapy, DBT, and compassion-focused therapy. Above all, I always maintain a framework that is trauma-informed, client-centered, and neurodiversity-affirming.
I’m not here to “fix” you, because you are not broken. I’m here to listen and support you in the ways that you need.
The relationship between therapist and client is the most important factor in clients reaching their therapy goals. I promise to enter into our therapeutic relationship with empathy, without judgment, and with a commitment to our work together. I will sit with you in your pain and celebrate with you in your moments of joy. Most notably, I will work with you to build mutual trust and respect, fostering an environment where true healing and growth can flourish.
